“Ernesto was an amazing tour guide and great driver. Didn't feel rushed or stressed. This tour has a levada walk that will take approximately 45min and you need to pay 3 euros. The guide suggested a lovely restaurant to eat and it was great. Only downside for me is the jeep itself, not very comfortable, bear in mind the roof will remain opened the entire time, so if you seat in the back get ready for sun and lots of wind...having the rooftop opened also meant a lot of noise from the road and tunnels.”

“Madeira was absolutely beautiful, beyond our expectations. We saw coastline, beaches with teal water, and also foggy mountain towns, and waterfalls - truly an incredible place. Diogo was fantastic! Our cruise ship stopped in Madeira for only 7-8 hours, and we were with Diogo for 6 of those hours - he really helped us maximize our time and had us back to our ship with time to spare! Excellent combination of driving and learning about the island from Diogo, and then stopping to walk around scenic towns and villages. We saw everything from the fisherman’s village to his favorite spot up in the clouds, put our toes in the water at the black sand beach and took a dip in the lava pools after a delicious lunch with poncha. We got to see so much more than we thought was possible in one day thanks to this great tour. He even safely maneuvered around these crazy winding streets and we felt very safe.
