What a charachter - he had us laughing all the time and he was a very experienced driver who knew even the smallest and most difficult to drive roads. The places we stopped for a drink and lunch were great - food was was tremendous. The weather wasn't great but it didn't dampen our spirits - a brilliant trip!”

“Ernesto was an amazing tour guide and great driver. Didn't feel rushed or stressed. This tour has a levada walk that will take approximately 45min and you need to pay 3 euros. The guide suggested a lovely restaurant to eat and it was great. Only downside for me is the jeep itself, not very comfortable, bear in mind the roof will remain opened the entire time, so if you seat in the back get ready for sun and lots of wind...having the rooftop opened also meant a lot of noise from the road and tunnels.”

Stopped in the middle of the tour to let us smell the Eucalyptus trees when we went through the forest, picked some fresh parsley growing casually besides the road, had one of the best Poncha's that were made right in front of us. Overall, great tour and definitely recommend.”

“I honestly couldn’t fault any of the experience. We were contacted the evening before confirming the time of pick up at our hotel and he arrived exactly on time. The guide was fab, great sense of humour and very knowledgable on our journey. We stopped at many places along the way to see the sights and take photos, and given ample time. We had a great little pit stop to watch a lady make Poncha and got to try it which was fab and soooo much nicer than the bottles stuff we got elsewhere. When we stopped at Porto moniz the guide before heading off to take some time out…”
